Almost 2012 :)

The past few days have been nice....and went by way too fast! Christmas we started the day with D-lo's Sausage Bread...and the best thing about making sausage bread is I always make one to have that day and one to freeze :) so - guess what we will be having on New Years Day for brunch... yum!

And of course you can't have sausage bread without a nice mimosa....or three ;)

The weather was beautiful and unseasonably warm....uhh well 40's is considered warm for here y'all...was a nice walk and i brought some of the bread I took out of the inside of the loaf when making sausage bread....and fed it to the ducks in the park.....Bebe and Honey were not very happy with me :) You can see the duck house there on the mini-island... they hang out in there when it gets chilly...

Here is my Christmas mani I did myself - I am loving this color - Already Famous by OPI - it is this gold-platinum color. So cool and seems to match everything and...hard to see chips so, perfect for me...Thanks Miss Tiff for this color! Love it!

Christmas was fantastic - our gift to each other was our beautiful new house & our new furniture and I have to say - I thank my lucky stars every night that fate lined up and this house is now our home. It is perfect and I could not ask for anything more! I adore our neighborhood, the location, and everything about it. Perfect for us and the girls :) Now my project for 2012 is to get everything situated and decorated  - will be fun!

Yesterday we decided to go see a movie at the Moolah Theatre.... now this is a very cool theatre in STL - it used to be a Shriner Temple and was renovated to be a very cool movie theatre. There are comfy couches in the theatre, a bar where you can have drinks beforehand and...break away in the movie to grab a drink to bring into the theatre (AWESOME!).....there is even a bowling alley in the basement! Such a fun place.... Chad and I got there way early so we could explore the venue - we had a beer & a Chicago Dog at the bowling alley bar.... was really delish...

Here is a pic I took of the inside of the theatre - you can see the couches.....

They only show one movie at a time - but luckily it was a movie I wanted to see - The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo....oh wow - very dark, interesting and a fantastic story! I STILL have not finished the book :) But - damn the movie was really freaking good! I loved it. I swear I have seen more movies in the month of December than I have in the past two years!

This morning was back to work for me..... woke up to our first dusting of show this year....took this pic on my way to work....

And let me tell you how happy it made me to not scrape snow/ice off my windows this morning! YAY for having covered parking again!

This week is off to a great start - had a nice & productive work day, walked the girls with Chad in the park, now having some wine while Chad makes pot-stickers for dinner...life is good! Tomorrow I will get to see Lisa & Chad for happy hour....then NYE is right around the corner! 2012 is going to be a good year I can feel it :-) yahooooo!!
