My HoneyBee

Well the past couple days have been kinda stressful - Honey had a bad reaction to something she ate.  Chad had given her a bite of pork off one of his ribs and it did not agree with her at all. Thursday night we were up several times during the night as she needed to go outside - poor baby. I was so worried about her I hardly slept.

Chad took her to the vet Friday morning and she was diagnosed with pancreatitis - which is like extreme upset stomach. But - very treatable. The vet decided it was best to keep her overnight so she could fast for 24 hours under supervision and have IV fluids and IV antibiotics. Me, Chad and Bebe were so sad last night without our Honeybee with us....was horrible. I kept worrying about her being in a strange place and what was going through her sweet little mind.

Good news - we were able to pick her up this afternoon at 3 and bring her home! She is back on the mend but exhausted - she has been sound asleep pretty much since she got home. It was not a cheap trip to the vet but worth every penny to have her healthy and here with us now. She will have to follow a special bland diet for the next couple weeks - and no more table scraps PERIOD. It will be an adjustment for all of us as Chad and I really give them a lot of bites here and there of whatever we eat. But - it really is not good for them - case in point.

Happy to have my sweet angel home with us tonight, curled up in her bed sleeping. Hope everyone's furbabies are home, safe & healthy tonight as well! Everyone count your healthy blessings :)
