SNOW!

So the snow came in last night/today and it is currently 15 degrees out....hello winter! driving to work this morning on a sheet of ice was fan-freakin-tastic. Slid around a few times, saw a dozen or so cars in the ditch, a few accidents and a lady in front of me did a 360 in the middle of the highway - good times! Needless to say I didn't need my coffee this morning to wake up :)

Here is a pic from our porch this morning although....i think a couple more inches fell after this pic....there was not much snow on the ground so i didn't really think about it heading out but - there was ice beneath this, which was the kicker....

I was going to take a better pic this afternoon from the front of the house but seeing how it's 15 degrees out there - this will have to do! I do love the snow but - love it much much more when I can stay INSIDE, warm & safe,  and off the roads! I had to miss my WW meeting tonight booooo. I will try and make it to one maybe this weekend. It motivates me to check in once a week via scale. And obviously no running in the snow/ice for me either :(

This week has been draining from a work perspective and I think next week will be much of the same....I am really ready for January to be done!

In other exciting news....another one of my nieces started a blog! Hopefully she doesn't mind me sharing it here with y'all - Brielle's blog is here - she is documenting her experiences in law school in upstate NY. So cool!

 YEAH! Guess it is a family thing as most of my beautiful nieces blog - Dacia's is here,  Mykla's is here & Dana's is here. Love my girls!

Cannot wait until tomorrow at this time as I will be sipping a beer and Chad and i will likely go out for dinner :) date night! Happy Friday Eve everyone!
